What Does ONDAMED Mean?
The word Ondamed is the Latin word for 'medical wave'. Ondamed is an electro-magnetic biofeedback device, developed by Rolf Binder. It has been used successfully in Europe for more than 10 years and a few years in the United States. Health practitioners and their clients have seen remarkable benefits with this therapy. Originally developed in Germany, ONDAMED has been accepted by the FDA to assist in conjunction with other proven therapies for chronic pain, fatigue, and malaise as a non-invasive therapeutic device.
How Does It Work?
The Ondamed system works via biofeedback matching your body's specific frequencies against system frequencies generated by the ONDAMED system. This way your body is 'telling' the practitioner which frequencies it needs.
Using the Vascular Autonomic Signal (VAS), felt in the client's pulse, the practitioner can scan the body's preferences, determine areas of meridian blockage and most importantly immediately simultaneously deliver the needed frequencies or pre-set programs, bringing the body back into balance. The VAS is used to determine the body's blocked areas. By dialing the stored frequencies in the device, the matching frequency will cause a significant surge in the pulse thus showing energy blockages.
What Happens during ONDAMED Therapy?
The client is fully clothed and comfortably seated during the session. An applicator fits like a collar on the neck and delivers frequencies to the entire central nervous system. A hand held applicator allows the practitioner to deliver frequencies to small localized areas of pain or tension, and one large matrix applicator allows deliver to large areas of the body such as the abdomen or back. Consequently, a session can take as little as 15 minutes or last as long as one hour, and is usually very relaxing.
ONDAMED has four modules: Patient-specific frequencies, Pre-set Frequencies relating to specific organs , Micro-flora and Nutrient Metabolism.
